It’s safe to say that my obsession for stripes has taken over my practice. From a young age, I’ve always been inspired by food and stripes - but more specifically how they go hand-in-hand. Motivated by the urge to create more stripes, I went on a mission to find more striped things. Upon my encounter with striped patterns in the world, I came across striped sardine tins. The colors of each tin became the color palette for these pieces titled Sardine Studies. Inspired by the process of creating these, each aspect of that process became a study in itself.
